Snowflake Unveils AI Platform Updates at Summit '26
Snowflake introduced CoWork, CoCo, Cortex Sense, and Claude integration at Summit '26 to support governed AI workflows for marketers.
At Snowflake Summit '26, Snowflake positioned itself as a System of Intelligence for enterprises by integrating AI agents, governance, customer data, and business operations.
AI Tools Move to the Data
Snowflake rebranded AI offerings and introduced CoWork and CoCo as building blocks for AI-powered workflows. It also launched Cortex Sense, a context layer that supplies AI systems with company-specific language, processes, and business rules. According to MarTech, the approach lets marketers apply AI across the customer journey while maintaining governance, privacy, and data quality.
Claude Models Integrated in Snowflake
Snowflake expanded its partnership with Anthropic to bring Claude models directly into its platform. Marketers can therefore analyze customer data, generate content, explore trends, and run complex analyses without exporting data to external systems.
Reduced Data Silos and New Governance Features
Cortex Agent Sharing allows organizations to share AI agents across Snowflake accounts without exposing underlying customer data. Snowflake also expanded support for Apache Iceberg and open data architectures. Updates to Horizon Catalog enable users to define access and privacy rules in plain English that convert into enforceable policies.
According to MarTech, Snowflake's announcements center on keeping AI, analytics, and governance where the data already resides rather than moving data to separate platforms.
