Salesforce announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Braze for approximately $5.66 billion in enterprise value. Holders of Braze Class A common stock will receive $47.50 in cash per share.

Transaction details

The deal is expected to close in Salesforce's fiscal year 2028, pending shareholder approval and regulatory clearances. No change is anticipated to Salesforce's FY27 guidance.

Braze serves approximately 2,770 customers and provides a customer engagement platform focused on real-time personalization across mobile, web, email, SMS, and other channels. Its event-streaming architecture and BrazeAI tools support high-volume B2C interactions.

Expected integration with Salesforce platforms

Following the close, Braze capabilities are expected to complement Data 360, Customer 360, Agentforce, and SIForce. Within Customer 360 the addition is expected to strengthen Marketing Cloud cross-channel personalization and support real-time optimization at scale.

The companies share an open, composable approach intended to give customers flexibility with data, tools, and partners.

What it means for revenue teams

Revenue teams may see tighter connections between marketing activity and the broader customer record in Customer 360. Real-time behavior signals from Braze are expected to become available for use in sales and service workflows once the platforms are combined. Marketing Cloud users could gain additional options for coordinating journeys that span commerce, sales, and service touchpoints.
