Seven marketing technology firms appointed new C-suite executives with focus on AI-driven customer experience and go-to-market alignment.

MarTech Executive Appointments Announced

Seven marketing technology firms named new C-suite leaders this month according to Demand Gen Report. AI-driven customer experience and go-to-market alignment emerged as the through-line across marketing, finance and revenue roles. The appointments favor operators with proven scaling track records, from Mika Yamamoto’s customer-AI mandate at Veeam to John Batdorff’s growth of PushPress from $1 million to $20 million in annual recurring revenue.

Veeam Names Chief Marketing and Customer AI Officer

Veeam Software appointed Mika Yamamoto Chief Marketing and Customer AI Officer. Yamamoto leads Veeam’s global marketing organization and owns its customer-AI framework. She joins from Freshworks where she served as Chief Integrated Customer Growth Officer leading AI-powered customer and employee experience across marketing, sales, customer success and support. Yamamoto previously served as Chief Customer Engagement and Marketing Officer at F5 and as President of Marketo through its acquisition by Adobe.

Jasper Promotes Newton and Names Newman

Jasper promoted Tom Newton to Chief Marketing Officer and appointed Lauren Newman Chief Financial Officer. Newton leads global marketing strategy uniting brand, demand generation, product marketing and go-to-market execution. He joined Jasper as vice president of marketing in 2024 after leadership roles at Toast, Knowde, Zendesk and Intercom. Newman leads Jasper’s financial strategy with nearly 20 years of experience scaling technology companies. She previously served as CFO at Aircall and worldwide controller for Microsoft’s $4.5 billion Office Consumer business.

Additional Appointments at Doppel, Sinch and Convertr

Doppel named Alyssa Smrekar Chief Marketing Officer. Smrekar previously served as Doppel’s SVP of Marketing with prior experience at Intercom, Okta, VMware, SpringSource and VerticalResponse. Sinch AB appointed Sophie Cheng Chief Marketing Officer succeeding Jonathan Bean. Cheng joined Sinch in 2024 and has led global product marketing and revenue enablement after senior roles at ZoomInfo and Chorus.ai. Convertr appointed Greg Jordan Chief Product Officer to lead product strategy across platform capabilities, contact data governance for CRM and AI workflows, and evidence layers for data sources.
