Salesforce Launches Missionforce Military Fellowship
Salesforce announced the Missionforce Military Fellowship, a 12-week SkillBridge program to help transitioning service members build careers in AI and technology.
Salesforce announced the launch of the Missionforce Military Fellowship. The 12-week Department of War SkillBridge program is designed to help transitioning service members move their military experience into careers in AI and technology.
Program Structure and Support
The fellowship places participants alongside Missionforce Customer Success teams. Fellows receive hands-on technology training, mentorship, and Salesforce certification support. They also build AI and consulting skills while gaining experience with technologies used across government and national security. Fellows who complete the program can pursue available full-time opportunities with Missionforce.
The program focuses on translating skills developed in uniform such as leadership, adaptability, communication, problem solving, and execution under pressure into a technical foundation for technology careers. Participants work directly with teams serving the national security community.
Connection to Existing Military Initiatives
The Missionforce Military Fellowship expands Salesforce’s more than decade-long investment in military talent through Salesforce Military. That earlier effort has provided veterans, service members, and military spouses with training, certifications, and resources for technology careers. The new fellowship responds to rising AI adoption by government agencies and the need for workers who combine technical skills with mission experience, leadership, and judgment.
Kendall Collins, CEO of Missionforce at Salesforce, stated that service members’ understanding of the mission, judgment under pressure, and ability to lead through complexity are especially important in the agentic era. The fellowship pairs that experience with new AI and technology skills so participants can continue contributing to national security missions in civilian roles.
One participant, U.S. Navy veteran Keith Campion, now a Senior Services Sales Solutions Architect, noted that the program treated fellows like employees from the start, with real responsibilities and trust to contribute. He credited the training, certification support, and mentorship for helping him focus on national defense customers.
What it means for revenue teams
Revenue teams gain access to a growing pipeline of professionals who already possess mission experience and are adding Salesforce certifications and AI skills. These individuals are positioned to support Customer Success work with government and national security accounts. The program may increase the pool of candidates who understand both operational complexity and the technologies used in those environments.
